Not a great evening for sewing as hems fell apart and nothing really went my way. The positive spin is that I am learning about fabric and which ones fray appallingly much. But there must be a way to work with them since people made clothes out of them in the first place, right? I shall internet and see what the wisdom of the masses suggests.

Fray check is awesome. I use gallons of the stuff. If you apply it to the fabric before sewing and let it dry, it's a godsend for working with fray-able fabrics!

It's almost like glue, but is clear and runny. You apply it to the fabric direct from the bottle, which has a little nozzle on it. IDK if you're in the USA or the UK (I'm in the UK) But here's a link to ebay UK:
